Cornforth United v Shincliffe Junior Reds

Another positive evening on the pitch for Cornforth United as we came away with a 5-2 victory over Shincliffe Junior Reds.

It was a very competitive game throughout, with the teams going into half-time level at 2-2. Credit to Shincliffe Junior Reds, who made us work hard and kept us honest from the first whistle.

The team showed great character in the second half, sticking to the game plan, working hard for each other and taking our chances when they came. The scoreline perhaps doesn't reflect how closely contested the game was for long periods.

We're pleased to keep our recent run of good results going, but we know there's still plenty to work on and we'll continue to build on each performance.

A big thank you to Shincliffe Junior Reds for a well-played match, and to everyone who came along to support both teams.
